ecophoto is Paul Foley.
Paul began photography as a teenager, capturing images of friends surfing. In the 80s he travelled internationally and had work published in Australian and US surf magazines. He became inspired by renowned photographer Ansel Adams, whose photos of Yosemite National Park played a decisive role in the growth of environmental consciousness in the U.S.
Now Paul makes images for local government, corporate, industrial and tourism clients. He’s worked with Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Penrith Councils as well the ABC magazine 'Life etc', Visa, Freightcorp, Australia Post, MBF and BHP and is part of ongoing large-scale tourism and marketing projects for the Hunter Regional Tourism Organisation.
